Kathy and Jim Lyons founded Blue Moon Acres in 1992 with a desire to pursue a healthier, more sustainable form of agriculture. Since then, they have become one of the most reputable names in the business for organic produce. They operate with an ever-increasing focus on sustainability via the use of bio diesel farm equipment, and geothermal heating and cooling techniques. We use their nutrient dense spring mix & baby spinach to make our salads and we top our toasts with their delicate tendrils of micro-greens.
Brothers in bees
Alex, Kyle, and Mike Maio are three brothers on a mission to create a symbiotic relationship between US war veteran and honey bees. They have created a sustainable bee hive set up in Doylestown PA and use the profits of their honey sales to outfit veterans with the supplies they will need to work with the bees. We think that is pretty sweet and so we feel good about using their product and supporting their cause.
